Details

  • DMI created an integrated campaign appealing to the 12-17 year old target consumer building community, awareness, traffic, and sales
  • The immersive, interactive website includes various viral, branded activity:
    • Arcade featuring original branded games
    • Wallpapers
    • User registration to activate a site-wide reward system (Punch Points) with ongoing sweepstakes and prizes
  • DMI also developed the user-generated video contest “Punch Up A Scene” where users submitted videos recreating a scene from any television show or movie by incorporating the Sour Punch product
  • To create distinction for the brand, DMI composed the Sour Punch Audio Logo which is threaded throughout the entire campaign
    • Reinforced as a tag at the end of the TV spot

Results

  • Within the first two weeks of the website launch, over 90% of the online traffic was from new visitors
  • Users who visit the arcade spend an average of 4 minutes or more on the site
  • Received several awards including a Web Award for Outstanding Website
  • The “Punch Up A Scene” contest increased site visits by 370% and average time spent on site increased by 68% during the promotion
